A good all-round performance from Yannic Cariah helped Debe Youth clinch a six-wicket win over Black Caps in the second match of a Coca Cola Endeavour Premier League Twenty20 double header at Avidesh Samaroo Park, Chaguanas on Tuesday night.

With the match reduced to 18 overs, the Trinidad and Tobago leg-spinner, who was part of the Caribbean Premier League franchise the Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel last year, grabbed three wickets for nine runs to help dismiss the Black Caps for 92 off the 17.5 overs.

Tariq Abdool also chipped with two wickets for five runs off his two overs.

The Debe Youths skipper Cariah, then hit an unbeaten 28 while Abdool got 20 not out to help their team recover from a poor start to reach 93 for five off 16.5 overs to clinch their third win of the competition which ensures they stay at the top of the Group  B standings after four round of the matches.

In the first match of the double header on Tuesday, Smashaaz got the better of CSW Chargers by 23 runs thanks to a good all-round performance from former West Indies Under-19 cricketer Emmanuel Lett.
