Carimbocas leads Hillview to victory

Hillview College skipper Camillo Carimbocas scored a half-century and took two wickets to lead his team to a comprehensive 107-run win over Naparima Boys College in round four of the PowerGen Secondary Schools Cricket League (SSCL) Premier Division, at Wilson Road in Penal yesterday.
Carimbocas hit 68 to lead the defending champions to 199 for seven off their 44 overs before snatching two wickets for 19 runs to help dismiss the home team for 92.
Afdal Kahn, who hit 43 in the Hillview innings, also got wickets, taking two for eight.
At Honeymoon Park, El Dorado, Presentation College Chaguanas were held to a draw by El Dorado East Secondary.
Pres, led by Kamil Pooran’s 53, made 152 for nine off their reduced 32 overs. El Dorado replied with 147 for six when the overs ran out with Shaquille McDavid hitting 51.
Medium pacer Sachin Balai was the pick of the bowlers for Pres, grabbing four for 25.
Pres got a “winning draw” while El Do came away with a “losing draw”.
