Carter’s death saddens Jones

 Cardiff City striker Kenwyne Jones has expressed his condolences via Twitter on the passing of his Trinidad and Tobago teammate Kevon Carter, who died suddenly on Friday morning from a heart attack while training with local professional league champions Defence Force.

“Sad to say we lost another brother another warrior, young footballer to a heart attack. You will be missed bro. R.I.P Kevon Carter.”

The 30-year-old Army corporal, a father of two young girls, had 31 caps for T&T and last represented the Soca Warriors as a substitute during a 1-0 defeat to Mexico at the 2013 Concacaf Gold Cup. 

On Tuesday, Carter played the entire 90 minutes for Defence Force in a 1-1 draw with Central FC in the local Digicel Pro League. His death has left many football lovers in a state of shock, and condolences have come from every corner of society.
