Century for Guillen in practice match

Opening batsman Justin Guillen made a strong case for his inclusion in the Trinidad and Tobago first class squad for the upcoming regional four-day competition after scoring a century to lead his team, the Guillen XI, to a strong position on the opening day of a three-day practice match against an Amit Jaggernauth XI at the National Cricket Centre, Balmain Couva yesterday.

The left-handed batsman scored 115 while his teammate, wicketkeeper Nicholas Pooran hit 60 to lead the Guillen XI to 277 all out after 90.2 overs yesterday.

The Jaggernauth XI will start their first innings when the match continues today from 10 a.m. with West Indies Test batsman Adrian Barath and T&T Under-19 opener Jeremy Solozano at the wicket.
