Chanderpaul slams two centuries


West Indies middle-order batsman, Shivnarine Chanderpaul slammed two stroked-filled centuries to lead Unity Sports Club in separate limited-over matches over the weekend.

The dependable batsmen scored a magnificent 159 as Unity Sports Club registered a 145-run win over Canal Number One Sports Club on Saturday.

Chanderpaul hit 14 fours and 11 sixes as Unity Sports Club piled up 322 for 4 from their allotted 35 overs.

On Sunday, Chanderpaul struck 102 in a no-result game against a University of Guyana XI.

The former West Indies captain clobbered 11 sixes and four fours in his innings, which guided Unity to 266 for 6 from their allotted 30 overs.
