ToolsCivic Centre, Soldado in South Executive Cup finalPremier League leaders Point Fortin Civic Centre and OJs Soldado All Stars will contest the final of the Southern Football Association (SFA) Executive Cup, after posting semifinal victories on Tuesday. The Executive Cup is the SFA qualifier for the national FA Trophy competition. Three SFA clubs will play in the FA Trophy. Despite a hattrick from Renefor Martin, Marabella Family CC (MFCC) were booted out of the Executive Cup at the penultimate stage after losing 3-2 on penalty kicks to Soldado. The teams played out a thrilling 4-4 draw in the 90-minute regulation period, before being separated by spot kicks. Martin netted three goals for Soldado, while Stephan Campbell got the other item. Shurland Griffith and Amarie Ettienne scored two goals apiece for MFCC. On the other side of the draw, Civic Centre blanked Penal Rock Road 2-0 to reach the final. Steven Joseph and Matthew Bartholomew were the Civic Centre marksmen. |
