Coaches meet today at Balmain

Cricket coaches throughout Trinidad and Tobago will meet today from 6 p.m. at the National Cricket Centre in Balmain, Couva as they try to unite into a singular body in an effort to improve the standards across the board in the local game.

At the head of the effort to unify the coaches is experienced West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) Territorial Development Officer (TDO) Kumar Rampat, who said it will be the fourth meeting of the cricket coaches as they plan the way forward.

Today, coaches will benefit from two presentations, the first by Rampat on "How to Coach Skills" and the second by former national cricketer Imran Jan on "Fielding Drills".

Rampat said it is important for the coaches to come together and work towards upgrading their skills so that their knowledge could be passed on to develop and improve the present and future generations of T&T cricketers.
