Confident Corbin faces Cleverly

Guyanese Shawn Corbin is ready to tangle with Welshman Nathan Cleverly after the weighing-in process yesterday.

In Cardiff, Wales yesterday, Corbin said he was confident of beating Cleverly. Corbin will fight Cleverly tonight for the WBA Inter-Continental Cruiserweight Title at the Motorpoint Arena, Cardiff Wales.

In a telephone interview Corbin said he had travelled well and feels no ill effects from his trip.

“The environment is very good, I am  relaxed and comfortable, the food is good, I  have eaten well and I weighed in at 198 lbs this morning (yesterday), just two pounds under cruiserweight limited,” Corbin said

Corbin  said, the last time Cleverly visited a boxing ring he was knocked out.

“I saw a piece of him remain in the ring after he fought. Now when he walks into the ring tomorrow night he has to face that ghost. The demon of him being knocked out will haunt him (tonight) night. I have no such demon to worry about.  All I have to do is go in there, relax, stay cool and execute my game plan,” Corbin said.

Corbin said at the weigh-in, he stared down  Cleverly  and saw a very intimidated man.

“That is the psychological edge I was looking for. Now that I have eye balled him and instilled that fear factor in him, he is all mine (tonight) out that belt,” said Corbin.
