Enterprise stay perfect in Lendore League

Enterprise Life Sports made it two victories in as many matches when they turned back Edinburgh 500 A by a 1-0 margin as action in the 2013 Lendore Football League continued at the Chrissie Terrace Recreation Ground in Enterprise on Sunday.

The match started at a mundane pace as both units seemed to have a bit of difficulty finding their rhythm. However, a bit of inspiration from nippy striker Deon O'Garro in the 31st minute would serve to separate them at the end.

O'Garro collected a pass that was squared back to him in front of goal about 25 metres out. He skilfully dribbled his way around two defenders in close attendance before switching the ball to his left foot and unleashing a shot that curled its way past goalkeeper Keston Guy and into the top right hand corner of the goal.

The second half failed to produce any more goals as both custodians were rarely called upon to curb any danger.

After the match, Life Sports' manager Danvers Ottley was full of praise for his young charges who are all part of the Ministry of Sports' Life Sports programme for young men.

"I am satisfied with what I saw tonight. Though there's room for improvement the lads definitely showed some progress from their opening game."

"What we need to do now is to continue building on what we have accomplished thus far"

Life Sports will be going for a hat-trick of victories when they take on the Ball Runners today at 6.30 pm.

In other weekend action, Cool It FC slammed Shamrock FC 5-2 while Peace Makers drubbed Ghetto Stars veteran 6-1.
