Fatima win Kendall Mootoo Sevens rugby

Fatima College won the inaugural annual Kendall Mootoo Memorial Challenge Sevens rugby competition for schoolboy teams after scoring a 19-14 victory over the International School. The match was fierce, and closely fought to the finish.
A total of six teams took part in the Digicel sponsored competition, which took place on February 15 at the Carib grounds, Queens Park Savannah. The first semi-final saw a South Select School team and Fatima College playing out a thrilling 19-19 draw, before Fatima emerged eventual winners in sudden death.
Meanwhile, the International School defeated Belmont Secondary School 19-7. Queen’s Royal College and St George’s College also participated in the competition. QRC won their meeting 19-14, but neither side reached the semi-final stage.
