THE Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board (T&TCB) is encouraging all young children to make use
of their Easter holidays by engaging in what it considers as healthy, wholesome activities which will help them prepare for the new academic term.
The TTCB has organised a four-day “Bunny Camp,” specifically designed for the ten and under age group which will start today and end on Thursday at several zonal venues throughout Trinidad.
According to Tarandath Sammy, top East Zone official and an executive member of the TTCB, qualified coaches will be on hand to take the young children through their drills which he said will create an awareness in their young minds about the positive impact cricket can have on their future lives.
“It is hoped that parents will avail themselves of this opportunity to register their children so that they can benefit from the experience of combining instruction in basic cricket skills with time spent having fun with their peers in a safe and supervised environment,” Sammy said.
Among the confirmed venues are the National Cricket Centre at Balmain, Couva; Bamboo Government School, Bamboo No 3; and the Sangre Grande Hindu School.
