Zone club Glenora Sports clinched the Courts InterZone Twenty20 title on Saturday with a 53-run victory over Orange Field Sports in the tournament final at Caldrac Ground, California.
Batting first, Glenora, aided by 28 extras, made a competitive 163 for six off their 20 overs with Man-of-the-Match Clevon Fredricks hitting an unbeaten 61 off 59 balls, which included four fours and a six.
In reply, Orange Field were dismissed for 110 in 18.2 overs.
Triumph Sports took third place in the competition after completing an easy seven-wicket win over Endeavour Sports in the third place playoff, which took place at the same venue prior to the final.
Damian Peters grabbed three wickets in 1.2 overs for Triumph as they dismissed Endeavour for 93 in 19.2 overs. Triumph had no trouble getting to their target, reaching 95 for three off 15.3 overs.
