Guyana cricketers get last minute boost

By Multimedia Desk

Guyana cricketers will have an added incentive to emerge victorious when they face Barbados in the second semifinal of the Nagico Super50 regional limited overs tournament.

The game, which bowls off at 2.00 p.m. today at the Queen's Park Oval in Port of Spain, will see the two teams do battle to decide who gets the opportunity to contest the final against Trinidad and Tobago, who trashed Jamaica by seven wickets in the first semifinal, yesterday.

And to ensure that Guyana receives some additional motivation, the Guyana Consulate has offered a cash incentive of USD $11,500 if the team can turn back the challenge of their Bajan counterparts.

USD $10,000 will be shared by the team while the man-of-the-match will pocket USD $1,500.
