Guyana seize advantage, CCC on top
Guyana took a 66-run first innings lead over the Leeward Islands on the second day of their Regional Four-Day Championship match at Vivian Richards Cricket Ground in Antigua yesterday and extended their advantage to 113 by the close of play.
Leon Johnson hit 110 to lead Guyana to 240 in their first innings before Keon Joseph (four for 53) and Zahir Mohamed (three for 12) combined to dismiss the Leewards for 174.
Guyana were 47 for two in their second innings at stumps yesterday.
At Arnos Vale in St Vincent, the Combined Campuses and College (CCC) have an overall 134 run lead over the Windward Islands. CCC made 225 in their first innings and dismissed the Windwards for 157. CCC were 66 for four at the close of play yesterday.
