Harvard's fairy tale season came to an end when Canadian team Dog River Howlers defeated them 27-15 in the Men's final of the second annual Carib Tobago International Rugby Sevens Tournament yesterday at Bon Accord Recreation Ground.

The new T&T Rugby Football Union (TTRFU) Championship Division winners and national sevens champs were stopped by the Canadians, who scored five tries and converted one to overcome the T&T team.

Harvard could only three tries.

In the Women's competition, Rugby Ecosse from Scotland demolished Beavers 39-0 to take the title.

Back on the Men's side, Tobago Men grabbed third spot after defeating another Scottish team Border Reivers 21-5 by scoring three tries and three conversions. Reivers managed just one try.

Northern emerged victorious in the fifth and sixth playoff by a scoreline of 19-12 over Rainbow, while Caribs earned took the seventh and eighth playoff, getting the better of Barbados Men 24-12.

In the Women's competition, the Howlers could not emulate their male teammates, but were good enough for third after relegating Harlequins to the losing position in a 20-10 outcome.
