Hobson leads Jabloteh past Police

Gissele Hobson scored 32 goals when leading Jabloteh to a 47 - 42 victory over Police Y in the Championship Division of the Courts All Sectors Netball League at the Eastern Regional Indoor Complex on Monday. Also contributing significantly to the victory was Debra Beckles who scored 15 goals.

Jabloteh led all the way. They were five goals ahead at the end of the first quarter which ended 13-8. Police Y fought back to cut the lead to 23-21 after two quarters and 34-31 after three, before extending to a five goal victory. For Police, Giselle Norton scored 24 goal, while Jiselle Navarro got 18. There was also a 23 -11 victory for Les Femmes over Harlem in the Retro Division.

On Tuesday, matches were played in the Alternative Division where USC defeated Prisons 38-29, while UTT stopped Police 42-23.

Goal shoot Carla Victor sank 22 of 31 attempts for USC, while goal attack Afiya Alexis supported with 16 of 32 as they overturned a 10-8 deficit after the first quarter to lead the rest of the way. For Prisons, goal shoot Ayanna O’Neil-Aaron hit 15 of 34 and La Vaughn O’Neil got 14 of 28.

In the second game, UTT led throughout in their win over Police, with goal attack Kimberly Collette getting 27 of 49 while goal shoot Shurice Gordon sank 15 of 37. For Police, Safiya Fortune (15 of 21) led the fight for Police.
