Hockey season flicks off Sunday

The 2013 outdoor hockey season will officially flick off on Sunday, marking the start of the Trinidad and Tobago Hockey Board League.

The League gets going with an opening ceremony from 8 a.m., followed by the opening day tournament at St Mary's College's Serpentine Road, St Clair ground.

Defence Force will defend the men's crown they won last year with a 6-1 whipping of Queen's Park, while Notre Dame women will try to retain their title. They overcame Shandy Carib Magnolias 3-2 in their 2012 final.
