Humphreys cops 'Youth' crown

University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) player, Curtis Humphreys captured the Youth Potential Ballroom Dance School table tennis tournament title, at the Transport & Industrial Workers Union (TIWU) Hall, Eastern Main Road, in Laventille, on Sunday.

In the championship match, Humphreys beat Terry Corbin, of Solo Crusaders, 11-7, 11-6, 9-11, 11-5.

In the semifinal round, Humphreys got the better of Kyle Borneo, while Corbin battled past Kenwin Small.

Anthony Laquis emerged victorious in the B division table tennis event. The Oxford player defeated PowerGen's Faiz Mohammed in the final.

And in the draughts competition, Dickson Maughn emerged victorious, beating Anderson Chance into second spot.
