By Garth Wattley

Jamaica marched into the semi-finals of the NAGICO Super50 tournament with a comprehensive six-wicket victory over Ireland in their Zone A match at the Queen’s Park Oval last evening.
Set 162 for victory after Ireland won the toss and were dismissed for 161 in 46 overs, Jamaica reached 166 for four in 29 overs to clinch the win and a bonus point that took them to nine points from two games. John Campbell struck 71 off 80 balls, Tamar Lambert hit 27 and Man-of-the-Match Andre Russell struck two sixes to end the match.
Earlier, Russell had taken a miserly three for 19 in eight overs and Jerome Taylor three for 34 after Ireland had won the toss and chosen to bat first.
Today, Guyana will try to clinch at least second spot in the group when they play defending champions Windward Islands at the Oval.
Summarised scores: Ireland 161 all out, 46 overs (Niall O’Brien 35, Alex Cusack 30; Andre Russell 3-19, Jerome Taylor 3-34) vs Jamaica 166-4 (John Campbell 71; Max Sorensen 2-17)
