Lara beats Yorke in 'Legends' golf

Former West Indies skipper Brian Lara defeated best friend and former Strike Squad captain Dwight Yorke in the final of the match play, yesterday, opening day of the "Legends Swing for Local Charity" tournament, at St Andrew's Golf Club in Moka.

Lara won 1up, while ex-Manchester United player Teddy Sheringham won the third place play-off against former West Indies opener Gordon Greenidge by the same score.

More than $150,000 was presented to charities yesterday. The tournament continues today at the Millennium Lakes Golf Resort, in Trincity, from 10 a.m.
