Lewis to sail in Carnival Regatta

Trinidad and Tobago's top dinghy sailor Andrew Lewis will compete in this week's Trinidad and Tobago Sailing Association (TTSA) Carnival Regatta 2012.

Lewis, who is gearing up for final round Olympic qualifiers in May, will sail in the February 9-12 regatta, which is also expected to feature sailors from Grenada, St Vincent and the Grenadines, St Lucia and Barbados up against the best of the TTSA fleet.

Registration for the event ends on February 9 at 4 p.m., two hours before the skippers' briefing and opening ceremony and a moonlight barbecue at the TTSA sailing centre in Chaguaramas.

On February 10, the TTSA will host a "Pirate Cooler Fete", while there will also be daily race prizes, giveaways, and fun activities for children.

The racing will move to Tobago after Carnival, on February 23, for kite surfing and dinghy sailing at Pigeon Point.
