Moosai stay unbeaten in Women’s Premiership

Defending champions Moosai Ladies continued their unbeaten run in the Trinidad and Tobago Women's Cricket Association (TTWCA) League Premiership Division with a whopping 168-run victory over MAAAD Rangers at UWI SPEC's Sir Frank Worrell Development Ground.

Moosai Ladies thumped 243 for seven in just 32 overs, with skipper Lee-Ann Kirby leading the way with 57. Rangers in reply could only get to 75 before their last wicket fell on the first ball of the 24th over.

Player of the Match Kirbyina Alexander chipped in with 39 for Moosai, while Chadean Nation added 32. Arielle Gomez was MAAAD Rangers' best bowler with two wickets.

Then, with the ball, Kirbyina Alexander, Karishma Ramharack and Amanda Samaroo sliced through the Rangers' batting to ensure the easy Moosai victory. Alexander took four scalps for 14 runs and Samaroo added three more, while Ramharack had the impressive figure of three wickets for one run.

Spice Girls condemned Technocrats to a 41-run defeat, with Vanessa Watts, Alice Collins and Stephanie Ramcharan each taking three wickets to restrict Techocrats to 132 to nine in 32 overs, chasing a victory target of 174. Afy Fletcher topscored for Technocrats with 42.

When Spice Girls batted, Ramcharan was out one run short of fifty, while Tamika Sandiford chipped in with 39 to help her team to 173 for seven. Fletcher was also Technocrats' best bowler, taking four for 22.

Phoenix Women also got the easy win over Cricket Lovers without their skipper, T&T and West Indies captain Merissa Aguilleira, racking up 178 for five in 30 overs before restricting their opponents for 99 for nine.
