More gold for Shanntol in Dubai
Shanntol Ince once again splashed her way to the top of the podium yesterday, this time her gold medal coming in the Women’s S9 100-metre backstroke event on the second day of the 2013 Youth Parapan American Games in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The young Paralympic athlete, who represented T&T in the pool at the Paralympic Games in London last year, followed up her Women’s S9 400m gold medal with a matching one, clocking one minute, 23.12 seconds.
Only a day earlier, the 18-year-old swimmers needed five minutes, 30.41 seconds to beat the field over 400m.
Today, Ince is expected to compete in the 100m butterfly event, as well as the women’s 100m freestyle S9 event, as the curtain comes down on the three-day event.
