NAAA celebrate 3 more medals
The National Association of Athletics Administration (NAAA) yesterday congratulated the men’s 4x400m quartet of Lalonde Gordon, Jarrin Soloman, Renny Quow and Zwede Hewitt on bringing home the bronze medal from the Commonwealth Games being held in Glasgow Scotland.
The athletics body also extended their “hearty” congratulations to Keshorn Walcott for securing silver in the javelin with a throw of 82.67, and the men’s 4x100m relay team of Keston Bledman, Marc Burns, Rondel Sorrillo and Richard Thompson on their bronze medal run.
The NAAA release stated: “The Commonwealth Games are now over and track and field has secured seven medals (3 silver 4 bronze) out of eight won at these games, once again showing their prowess on the world stage. We would like to congratulate the entire track-and- field contingent on a job well done and wish them a safe journey home.”
