THE Trinidad and Tobago Cycling Federation (TTCF) will be hosting national trials today at Arima Velodrome from 7 p.m. to select a team for the 2013 Pan American Championship which will be held from February 6-10 at the Aguascalientes Track in Mexico.
The TTCF's Elite Pan American Championships trials will see some of T&T's top cyclists take to the track including Olympic cyclist Njisane Phillip of Rigtec Sonics.
The other riders scheduled to be in action are Denese Francis (Arima Wheelers), Kerliann Wellington (BikeSmith), Jodi Goodridge (Arima Wheelers), Daniel Richardson (Arima Wheelers), Ako Kellar (Testi Cicli), Justin Roberts (Team DPS), Kwesi Browne (Arima Wheelers), Azikiwe Kellar (Testi Cicli), and Quincy Alexander (Team DPS).
The first event scheduled on the night is the flying 200 metres, which marks the start of the match sprint.
The minimum qualifying times for the men is 11.350 seconds while the women's qualifying standard is 13.500.
The TTCF trials continue tomorrow and Thursday at the same venue from 7 p.m. each night.
