Parchment, Santokie back in Jamaica squad

l KINGSTON

Opener Brenton Parchment and seam bowler Krishmar San-tokie are bidding for places in Jamaica's starting line up ahead of their clashes against the Leeward Islands at Sabina Park.

The two are back in training with the Jam-aica squad after missing the team's first set of matches in the West Indies Four-Day and Super50 tournaments.

Parchment, who play-ed a lead role in helping Jamaica register a record fifth straight hold on the Four-Day title, was in Australia playing league cricket.

Santokie recently returned from the Ban-gladesh Premier League Twenty20 but has been struggling to find a spot in either squad, despite being one of the best Twenty20 bowlers in the region in recent years.

"Parchment is back in the island and could be somebody we take a look at for upcoming matches," said coach Junior Bennett.

"The issue of Sant-okie, meanwhile, is something you will have to address to the chairman of selectors."

Jamaica play the Leewards in the Super50 tomorrow, before Satur-day's start of their four-day fixture.

Defending champions Jamaica are current leaders of the Super50 with maximum points after winning their opening three games, while they are second, behind Windward Islands, in the four-day format.
