Phoenix upset Moosai to win Women’s Open

 Phoenix Women clinched the Trinidad and Tobago Women’s Cricket Association 30 over Knock Out Open title with a five wicket win over dethroned champions Moosai Women in the final at UWI Ground on Sunday.

Moosai’s Lee Ann Kirby hit an unbeaten 53 to led her team to a competitive 125 for seven off their 30 overs in the face of some good bowling from Samantha Bissoon (three wickets for 12 runs) and Karishma Ramdeo (three for 16).

But Phoenix were up for the challenge with Shanelle Lord hitting an unbeaten 36 as they replied with 126 for five off 29.3 overs.
