Phoenix Women clinched the Trinidad and Tobago Women’s Cricket Association Premiership Twenty20 title with an easy eight-wicket win over Moosai Women in the tournament final at Inshan Ali Park, Preysal on Sunday.
Moosai were restricted to 68 for eight off their 20 overs thanks to some tight bowling from Samantha Bissoon, Shanelle Lord and Stephanie Ramcharan.
Bissoon was the best bowler, taking three wickets for 16 runs while Lord and Ramcharan picked up two for 16 and two for 12 respectively.
Phoenix replied with 69 for two off 14.3 overs to win the trophy.
In the Championship Division, the final was reduced to a one over playoff due to rain, with Hibiscus Sports defeating Players Sports.
Players made three in their over and Hibiscus replied with four for the loss of one wicket.
