Police claim Savannah awards

Multibionta Police claimed three of the major awards at the end of the 2012 season of the All Sport Promotions Savannah Football competition, which concluded on December 21.

Police played unbeaten to take the four team series, ending with a 3-1 victory over Fruta Football Factory on January 21. It was a third win for Police, who got goals from Khelon Williams (sixth), Real Dedier (21th) and Colin Williams, (41st). Jason Charles got a 46th-minute consolation for Football Factory. Williams was the game MVP. Gillette QPCC and Blue Waters New Mellinium also took part in the series.

At the end of the tournament, Multibionta Police also picked up most of the awards. Police's Fenwick Charles was named best goalkeeper, while teammates Kheon Archie, Dwight Elliot and Colin Williams won awards for Best Defender, Best Midfielder and Best Forward respectively. Fruta Football Factory's Rasheed Simon was the top-scorer in the tournament with six goals.
