ToolsPower off to ThailandTrinidad and Tobago defender Seon Power has signed a one-year contract with Thailand Premier League club Chainat FC. Power, who was outstanding at the heart of the T&T defence at the 2012 Caribbean Cup Finals in Antigua, has been on trial at Chainat since December, prior to signing his deal on Tuesday. He now joins T&T teammate Kendall Jagdeosingh at Chainat. "I'm delighted to have finally signed a deal with Chainat. It's a one-year contract with the option for another six months," Power told TTFF media yesterday. "The club has been great to me since I've been here. I've played in a few unofficial games for them and I've been training every day with the first team. My first official game is on March 3," added the former North East Stars and Joe Public player. Power, who turned 29 on February 2, is relieved to have put pen to paper, especially with the CONCACAF Gold Cup looming in July. "I couldn't return home for the Peru game, but I'm glad that the deal is through now so I can focus on playing here and I should be able to rejoin the team for upcoming matches once the coaches include me in the squad," he added. |
