Presentation College San Fernando and Arima North Secondary secured berths in the BG T&T/First Citizens Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) "Big Five" after winning their respective Zones, yesterday.

Pres San Fernando defeated Shiva Boys Hindu College 1-0 at Manny Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella to win the South Zone title, while Arima North beat Trinity College East 1-0 in Trincity to win the East Zone crown.

Renaldo Atwell, who came on as a substitute, fired Pres to the South Zone title with his strike in time added on.

Shiva were reduced to nine men during the encounter with Qwesi Weston being sent off in the 15th minute and Nathaniel Garcia in the second half.

The result means Pres win the South Zone title with a perfect record, and with one game left to be played.

In the East, Rondel Elie's 33rd minute strike took Arima to the title.

In other results in the East Zone, St Augustine East Secondary and San Juan North Secondary played to a 2-2 draw at Bourg Mulatresse and El Dorado East Secondary defeated Toco Secondary 3-0 at Larry Gomes Stadium in Arima.

St Anthony's also had a chance to make it to the "Big Five", but their North Zone match against East Mucurapo Secondary at Fatima Ground ended in a 1-1 draw.

Despite only getting one point from the match, St Anthony's are still very much in control, maintaining their three point lead over Mucurapo, with one match to play.

In the Central Zone, Chaguanas North Secondary defeated Carapichaima 3-1, at Carapichaima, to take the battle for the Central Zone crown to the final round.

The win sends Chaguanas North to the top of the standings with a two-point lead over "Caps". But that could change given the result of the disciplinary hearing on Tuesday to determine the first leg, which Chaguanas North won 2-1 over "Caps".

If the result is reversed, then the advantage will go back to "Caps", heading into the final round of matches, on Wednesday.

Over in Tobago, Mikhail Gordon scored four times as Scarborough Secondary defeated Roxborough 5-3, at the Dwight Yorke Stadium in Bacolet, to keep their lead in the Zone.
