Presentation still unbeaten in SSCLPresentation College Chaguanas cruised to an easy ten-wicket win over Iere High in their PowerGen Secondary Schools Cricket League (SSCL) Premier Division match at Pres Chaguanas yesterday, to keep pace with leaders Hillview College, who are also unbeaten in the division. Iere were dismissed for 33 in 16.4 overs, with Aleem Khan (3/10), Keiron Joseph (3/10) and Brian Charles (3/5) all taking three wickets each. In reply, Pres made 34 without loss off ten overs, with Khan unbeaten on 14 and Kamil Pooran not out on ten. In the other Premier Division match yesterday, Princes Town West Secondary defeated Naparima by seven wickets at Princes Town ground in another low-scoring game. A top-score of 20 from Jordan Samkaran led Naps to 66 all out off 19 overs in a rain-reduced 20 overs per side match. But that was never enough to trouble the hosts, who were desperate to bounce back from their first round thrashing at the hands of defending champions Hillview. In reply, Al Small hit 32 and Brandon Narinesingh was unbeaten on 21 as Princes Town reached 67 for three in 15 overs. In the Championship Division, Carapichaima East, led by a top-score of 48 from Trinidad and Tobago Under-15 all-rounder Justin Joseph, defeated Moruga by five wickets, while national under-15 batsman Kerron Kanhai's 46 helped Barrackpore West to a four-wicket win over Trinity College East.
