Rain forces trial abandonment

The Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board (TTCB) three-day trial match at the National Cricket Centre, Balmain Couva was abandoned on the first day yesterday due to rain.

Persistent showers left the NCC outfield waterlogged and the TTCB chairman of selectors Dudnath Ramkesoon confirmed that the match was called off.

It is the second three-day match that has been called off due to rain,0 with last weekend's encounter being abandoned after just one day.

The three-day trial matches are being held as part of the national team's preparations for next year's Regional four-day and Super50 tournaments.
