Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board first vice president Dudnath Ramkessoon is recuperating well after undergoing emergency triple bypass surgery last Friday.
Ramkessoon, who is also chairman of the T&T senior team selection panel, is said to be resting following the surgery, and his family is hoping he will be discharged from St Clair Medical hospital by this weekend.
His wife Diane Ramkessoon said her husband went in for an angiogram last week, where it was discovered that three arteries were blocked and that he needed to undergo emergency surgery.
She said the surgery was a success and that the former T&T opening batsman was out of the Intensive Care Unit and was recovering. TTCB president Azim Bassarath said the Board was very saddened to hear that Ramkessoon had to undergo surgery. "We are hoping he will recover soon and I want to wish him, on behalf of the TTCB and the cricketing fraternity, a speedy recovery," Bassarath said.
