The Red Steel warmed up for the second edition of the Limacol Caribbean Premier League Twenty20 with a 19-run win of Trinidad and Tobago A in a T20 practice match at Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain, yesterday.
Evin Lewis slammed 37 off 33 balls with three sixes and a four while Jason Mohammed hit three sixes and a four in his 24-ball 35 as the Red Steel posted 133 for eight off their 20 overs.
T&T replied with 114 for eight with Justin Guillen hitting 44 off 42 balls with four fours and a six. Besides Mark Deyal’s 23 and Yannick Ottley’s 14, no other T&T players got to double figures as pacer Fidel Edwards grabbed three for 25. Kevon Cooper took two for 13 and Anthony Simmons chipped in with two for 19. Shannon Gabriel took one for 28.
