Rodriguez, Kewley, Samuel double up

JUNIOR CHAMPIONS Andy Rodriguez, Carciea Samuel and Rocky Kewley completed the double for 2013 by also winning at Sunday’s National Senior Body­building & Fitness Championship, at Cascadia Hotel, St Ann’s. 

Rodriguez won the overall senior men’s title on Sunday, adding to the Junior National Championship title he took in June. 

Also doing the junior and senior double were Samuel and Kewley. Junior Ms Bikini winner Samuel also won the senior title as did Kewley, who is now both the junior and senior Mr Physique. 

Among the other big winners at the Seniors were Lisa Fernandes and Monisa Aleong. Fernan­des won a close contest with Leonette La Croix to capture the women’s bodybuilding championship while Aleong made a return to competition to win the women’s body fitness title. 

Rodriquez was the most successful competitor on the night, winning the master (over-40) title, the light-heavyweight title and the men’s overall crown. 

Other men’s champions crowned on the night were Shimron Sooker­many (light middleweight), Kelton Thomas (bantamweight), Jamaul Sanderson (welterweight) and Cori Baynes (lightweight),
