Royhil Seals seal water polo championships


Royhil Seals Water Polo Club was crowned overall champion as the curtain came down on the inaugural National Water Polo Championships at the Marlins Aquatic Facility in Westmoorings, on Monday. The event saw some exciting action, which ended with a neck and neck battle in the pool between co-hosts Marlins and Royhil Seals in the Under-16 male category. Royhil Seals pulled away by two goals in the last minute of the game to finish 6-4.

Royhil Seals conquered the Under-14 coed, Under-16 female and Under-16 male categories, while Marlins copped the Under-19 female, Under-19 male and open male. With a total of 97 points, based on the overall scoring system, Royhil Seals earned the top club title in this historical competition.
