Saints, QRC win big in schools hockey

 St Mary’s College and Queen’s Royal College registered big victories when the Trinidad and Tobago Hockey Board (TTCB) Secondary Schools Hockey League continued on Wednesday at the St James Barracks Grounds.

St Mary’s trampled on Debe High School 12-0 with Jarryon Paul and Jordi O’Brien posting hat-tricks. Zachary Clarke, Jean Luc Hinds, Che Modeste, James Attieh, Craig Cockburn and Maleik Ross each scored once.

For QRC, Ghardel Elcock and Kristien Emmanuel netted doubles as they shut out Woodbrook Secondary 6-0 in the second match of the double-header. Jadel Poon-Lewis and Lyndell Byer scored one apiece to complete the QRC rout.

Action in the league continues today from 3.15 p.m. with South East Port of Spain (SEPOS) tackling Providence in a girls fixture. On the boys side, SEPOS will take on Fatima College from 4.15 p.m. at the same venue.
