Soca Princesses take on Grenada
Trinidad and Tobago’s under-20 women’s footballers—the Soca Princesses—will look for a second win of the Caribbean Football Union Under-20 Women’s Championship when they take on Grenada from six o’clock this evening at the Waterhouse Mini Stadium, in Jamaica. The match is the second of a Group A double-header that will also see Anguilla facing Cuba two hours earlier.
The Group B teams are hosts Jamaica, Suriname, Dominican Republic and St Kitts/Nevis.
T&T opened the tournament on Friday by taking the maximum three points with a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Anguilla.
T&T took the lead with a goal from Shanisa Camejo in the 33rd minute, and followed up with a 42nd-minute strike from Patrice Campbell to end the first half 2-0 ahead.
The Soca Princesses entered the second half with confidence, and in the 48th minute captain Anique Walker hit the back of the net. The Anguillan team, thereafter, survived several attacks on goal.
