Solozano ton puts Hillview on top

Trinidad and Tobago Under-19 batsman Jeremy Solozano scored his second century of the PowerGen Secondary Schools Cricket League (SSCL) 2013 season, yesterday, to guide Hillview College to the top of the Premier Division standings with a five-wicket win over Carapichaima East Secondary, at Honeymoon Park, El Dorado.

Solozano slammed 15 fours in his unbeaten 107, which steered the hosts, Hillview to 166 for five, in reply to Carapichaima's 165 all out.

The five-wicket win took Hillview past Caps at the top of the standings.

Solozano also played a part with his medium pace, grabbing two for 34 when Hillview won the toss and elected to bowl first.

In other results, defending champions Presentation College Chaguanas slipped to last place on the ten-team standings following their loss to Iere High School. Pres have now lost four consecutive matches.
