ToolsSpringer joins global associationFifth Dan sensei and acting president of the Trinidad and Tobago Karate Federation (TTKF) Maureen Springer has been confirmed as a member of the World Martial Arts Masters Association (WMAMA), which has headquarters in Hokkaido, Japan. WMAMA has a very stringent policy, and accepts only holders of senior recognised grades. Springer, an accomplished coach and referee, is the only female member of WMAMA from the Pan American region. Her community activity was taken into account when deciding on her membership. Springer conducts classes for the School for the Blind (Santa Cruz) and the Trinidad and Tobago Paralympic Committee (TTPC), and oversees several pre-school karate programmes. She is also owner of Hoben School of Karate in Mt Lambert. |
