Trinidad and Tobago will try to make up ground on leaders Jamaica when they face against Leeward Islands today in the fourth round of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) Under-19 Three-Day Tournament at Warner Park in St Kitts.
T&T (22.1 points) are third and 9.4 points off the pace set by the Jamaicans, after one outright victory, one loss and a draw most recently on Tuesday against Barbados (22.9), when they secured a first innings advantage, but were unable to get the final three wickets needed for victory.
Despite that result, Barbados still lie in second, 0.8 points ahead of T&T, and they head to Molineaux to face cellar-placed and winless Windward Islands. Jamaica (31.5 points) have perhaps a trickier assignment at Conaree against Guyana, who have so far won one of their three matches and lost the other two.
T&T, skippered by Vikash Mohan, will draw closer to the lead if they manage full points and both Jamaica and Barbados fail to pick up full points.
