T&T fine tune for Caribbean Basketball Championships

Trinidad and Tobago will face St Vincent and The Grenadines in its opening match in Group B of the 2014 Caribbean Basketball Confederation (CBC) Championships on July 8, in the British Virgin Islands, Tortola.

And with less than two weeks to go before jump-ball, head coach Learie “Fruits” Sandy has planned four practice games as he and his coaching staff finalise the T&T’s team preparations for the tournament.

T&T is grouped with former champions Jamaica, Guyana, and St Vincent and The Grenadines. Group A comprise the US Virgin Islands, Bahamas, Barbados and the Dominican Republic.

The CBC Championships will run from July 8 to 12 in Tortola, British Virgin Islands. The public is also invited to come out today to watch the team’s final practice session and other basketball events put on by the National Basketball Federation of T&T from noon to 6 p.m.
