The Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee (TTOC) has entered a new agreement with Adidas international.
News of the agreement was announced on Saturday in an HSInternational press release.
“HSInternational representing the Trinidad & Tobago Olympic Committee is pleased to announce the Olympic Committee’s new agreement with Adidas international, wherein Adidas will have the exclusive promotional rights to the Olympic Committee’s properties for several teams on a multi-year basis.
“In exchange for the promotional rights,” the release continued, “Adidas will provide a monetary contribution in addition to supplying equipment and gear to Trinidad and Tobago’s teams over the next several years.”
Teams will be outfitted for a number of international games, including the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland, the 2014 Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games in Veracruz, Mexico, and the 2014 IOC Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, China.
The release also said: “Olympic Committee president Brian Lewis stated his pleasure with the outcome of the agreement in that in addition to securing a great partner who has proven that it can deliver what it promises, the Olympic Committee has also received an expansion of their prior dealings.
“The Olympic Committee will now with Adidas’ assistance create and sell a line of Olympic Committee products that the country’s fans have been requesting for years. Trinidad & Tobago has a great fan base that travels very well to international competitions and they want to show their support. The Olympic Committee will now have the opportunity to supply their supporters with what they desire.”
