Defending Trinidad and Tobago Women's Cricket Association (TTWCA) League champions Technocrats whipped Cricket Lovers by 56 runs in Premiership action last weekend despite another poor total with the bat.

West Indies cricketer Stacy-Ann King returned to Technocrats' line up and top-scored with 24 as her team stumbled to 86 all out. But it was the penetration of bowlers Affy Fletcher and Renelle Lutchman that gave Technocrats victory.

The 2011 League winners lasted just 14.1 overs when they batted and only Orie Trotman lent King support with 16. Pauline Dufeal (five wickets) and Sarah Charles (four wickets) did the damage for Cricket Lovers.

But Technocrats needed just 12.2 overs to dismiss their opponents, Fletcher (four wickets) and Lutchman (five) reducing Cricket Lovers to 28 all out in 12.2 overs.

Spice Girls also crushed Maaad Rangers by 133 runs, thanks to Ann-Marie McEwen (54 not out) and fellow batsman Natalie Ninah (49 not out).

T&T and West Indies off-spinner Anisa Mohammed took three for 15, but Spice Girls still managed 201 for four in their 40 overs.

Spice Girls' bowling was more devastating as Allison Collins and Kelly Clarke grabbed three wickets apiece while McEwen and Alice Collins took two each.

The other Premiership clash between unbeaten teams Phoenix Women and leaders Moosai Ladies scheduled for Pierre Road was postponed due to rain.

In the Championship Division, Hibiscus Ladies won by 18 runs over Achievers Women despite 50 from Loretta Eligon.
