Trinity College East and Carapichaima East Secondary will be looking to maintain their perfect record in the PowerGen Secondary Schools Cricket League (SSCL) when round three bowls off today.

Trinity, who were promoted to the Premier Division this season, have taken the lead after two rounds with 37 points and will tackle Naparima Boys at Wilson Road Recreation Ground, Penal today with the hopes of stretching their lead at the top of the ten-team standings.

All-rounder Stefan Wharwood will be a key figure in Trinity's line-up, having featured prominently in their two wins so far. Wharwood scored a half century in their opening game win against Iere High School and followed that up with a five-wicket haul in their second round win against defending champions Presentation College Chaguanas.

"Caps" are four points behind the league newcomers in second place and need a win against Union Claxton Bay Secondary at Caldrac Ground, California to keep the pressure on Trinity.

Pres Chaguanas, currently seventh on the standings with 19 points, will also have a tough assignment today when they travel to Honeymoon Park, El Dorado to face 2011 winners Hillview College (27 points), third on the standings with one win and one "losing draw".

In the Championship Division, leaders Presentation College San Fernando (35 points) will be searching for their third straight win in the competition when they come up against third placed Shiva Boys Hindu College (29 points) at Dabiedial Road, Penal.

Vishnu Boys Hindu College, who are also unbeaten in the Championship Division, are in action against last placed Signal Hill Secondary at Caroni Conquerors Ground.

All matches bowl off at 10 a.m.
