Jameela Mc Carthy kept University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) unbeaten in the Alternative Division of the Courts All Sectors Netball League (ASNL), at the Eastern Regional Indoor Sporting Arena in Tacarigua on Tuesday, leading them to a 37-29 victory over University of Southern Caribbean (USC).

The UTT goal attack scored her 26 goals from 30 attempts to help her team stay perfect from six matches, as UTT pulled away in the second period, after a 7-7 score at the end of the first period. By half-time, UTT led 21-15.

USC—who are locked with Police on three wins and three losses, but stay second on goal difference—outscored UTT 7-5 in the third period, but UTT returned the favour, netting 11 goals to USC's eight in the final quarter.

The other UTT scorers were goal attack Sharon Phillip (four goals) and goal shoots Chris-Ann Petrovanie (three) and Latisha Pitt (four).

Police led through every quarter, starting with a 5-2 advantage in the first, and stretched it to 14-8 by the halfway stage, before closing out the third period 20-12 ahead.

The loss means cellar-placed TSTT are winless after six outings.
