Heavy rain associated with the passage of Tropical Storm Isaac wrecked the third round of matches in the Regional Under-19 one-day Championship yesterday. While play got underway in two of the three scheduled fixtures, they had to be eventually abandoned as torrential showers engulfed the country. The country was also lashed with heavy early morning rain as the tropical storm passed north and headed into the island chain. At the Desmond Haynes Oval, Guyana reached 86 for two off 12 overs against Trinidad and Tobago, after being sent in. Each team was awarded two points. |
