Youth triathlon takes place at Chaguaramas

The Trinidad and Tobago Triathlon Federation will be hosting the Atlantic National Youth and School Triathlon Championships which takes place today in Chaguaramas.

It will be the first time Atlantic will be the title sponsor of the event and it is also the first time that the Championships will include school teams from primary and secondary schools from across the nation.

Racing will start at 7 a.m. with the swim leg, followed by the bike ride, and run segments, at the public Launch Pad next to the Military Museum.

From 8:30 a.m. the Adults and Juniors (16-19 years) will start their battle for the national title. Last year’s national champion David Cottle is unable to compete due to other commitments, but he will be representing Trinidad and Tobago at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow later this month.
