Chaguaramas tours awaken the senses

Chaguaramas is proving to be a magnet for visitors, both local and foreign, during the vacation period as they explore the many trails and recreational sites of the area.

Almost every day the tours to Gasparee Caves are fully booked, as hundreds flock to see for themselves this magnificent cave system.

From as early as 8 a.m., children accompanied by their parents or guardians are seen at the head office of the Chaguaramas Development  Authority (CDA) booking their tours for a day of fun and exploration, or waiting to be escorted by knowledgeable tour guides to the various recreational sites and trails that crisscross this peninsula.

"As a young man I visited the caves but never took my children," said one parent as he made his way to the CDA bus with his children. For other families, it is a chance to see something different and even a chance to visit another part of the island.

Chaguaramas is more than just Gasparee Caves and a ride 'down-the-islands'. It is one of the few places in Trinidad that offers a diverse mix of eco-adventures and untarnished beauty.  Bring the family and come and see for yourself.
